Does Tommy’s Express have free vacuums?

Keeping the inside of your car clean is just as important as the outside. Tommy’s Express has free vacuums* available for use. You don’t need to be a member to use them. 

Our vacuums are simple to use and are open during the normal wash hours.

Vacuums are great tools for cleaning your car and are even better when free*. 

Pull around to the vacuum bays after getting your car washed, and use our dual-hose vacuums to reach every crack and crevice easily.

How to turn on the vacuums at Tommy’s Express

To use the free vacuums* at Tommy’s Express, simply press the red button on the side of the module. The dual-hose vacuum will turn on, and you are ready to start cleaning. 

You can also use the Tommy’s Express app to turn vacuums on. 

Open the app and tap your location. Next, tap Vacuum and Detail under Additional Services, and tap the Start Vacuum/Vac off button.  

How to use our vacuums 

Everyone has their own car vacuuming technique, but here are some tips for beginners. 

Begin by removing large or loose debris that may become stuck in the vacuum and impede your progress. 

We have trash cans located at the vacuum bays for those bigger items and debris. 

We believe in starting at the top, with the seats, and then moving to the floors. This ensures you get all the dust and dirt that falls when vacuuming the seats or roof (some guests are particular, and we love it!). 

Giving the seats and floors a light bump with the vacuum end can help free up dirt and make cleaning easier, too.  

Our vacuums will turn off on their own after a certain amount of time.  

Feel like saving energy? Some site’s vacuums turn off by pressing and holding the red button for a few seconds. Give it a try next time you are vacuuming at a wash near you.
